Conference Interpreting
In conference interpreting, the spoken word is translated orally into another language. There are two main types.
As a long-time live subtitler/captioner and certified Speech-to-text Interpreter, I have a lot of experience in both disciplines. The spoken word is interpreted simultaneously into a written format for deaf people and people with hearing impairments.
Speech-to-text interpreting produces a continuous text in which everything that is said is transferred whereas with live subtitling, shortened sections are sent out.

I work with subtitles for deaf people and people with hearing impairments, which are created intralingually (German-German/English-English) as well as interlingual subtitles for foreign language video material (English/French - German).
